We’re delighted you’re interested in knowing more about our group.
Inclusive: We aim to select a variety of plays to give as many people as possible the chance to tread the boards, have a go at directing, get involved backstage and help out front of house.
Mutually supportive: We only manage to put on such successful plays because of our all-hands-on-deck philosophy. If you aren’t acting in a particular production we would encourage you to get involved behind the scenes: your fellow members will do the same when there’s a part with your name on it.
Social: It’s not all about the acting. We are a very sociable and social society. We aim to have as much fun off the stage as we do on it. Regular social fixtures include a summer barbecue, Christmas meal, pot-luck suppers, child-friendly parties, theatre trips and even overseas trips (Dublin, Prague and Seville in the past).
If this sounds like the group for you, we’d love you to join. We ask for a nominal commitment (£5 for annual single membership or £7.50 for annual family membership, payable on joining and renewable at the AGM). In return for this you become a full member of BCP, which entitles you to:
• act in any of our productions with full costs met (scripts, costume etc)
• attend any of our social events
• attend and vote at the AGM
• join the committee and help shape the future of BCP
Interested? Contact anyone on the committee for a chat (see contacts page for details)
We look forward to having you on board!
